![]() Separate of this discussion I also continue to work with apple for resolution. Sincerely appreciate the continued dialog. Nowhere does that contract say apple keeps customer owned material after service. I’ve read in its entirety at the store and at home. That apple employee said that language was in the contract. I admit was that dismissive tone, (something I’ve never previously experienced with apple) that caused me to inquire where in the contract apple says they keep customer owned parts. When I requested the employees name so I may follow up he gave me only his first name while refusing to provide last name or business card. (I picked up my device as soon as service was completed at 6:50 and the store closed at 7:00). It did seem to me the store employee wanted to close more than serve a customer. Some more perspective which may help the community to understand this unique situation. I don’t agree anyone gets to keep another’s property unless their reason for doing so is documented, public and agreed upon at time of service. This was an elective service that I paid for. ![]() They could provide no evidence that there was anything wrong with the original battery. My concern remains that if a corporation has a policy, then that policy should be documented and public. Lithium polymer (lipo) battery handling may be a reason why apple chose to keep my property. All good points Michael Black, thank you.
